College fair offers students lots of opportunities
Some 30 charities and community organizations will showcase the wide range of volunteer opportunities at the 3rd Annual IT Tallaght Volunteering Fair. Coinciding with the European Year of Volunteering 2011, the volunteering fair, which will take place in the College from 9.30 – 3 pm and it, will be officially opened by Tallaght City Mayor.
The fair is part of the College’s work of enhancing civic engagement and making links with the wider community. Fergus Finlay, CEO of Barnardos will be our guest speaker.
Students benefit enormously from getting involved and gain valuable experience, while bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
We welcome community organizations to highlight their work and opportunities for volunteers. Exhibitors at the volunteering fair will include: Tallaght Youth Services, Cheeverstown, Barretstown, Dublin Community Games, Volunteer Services Ireland,
The programme also includes talks by some of IT Tallaght student volunteers.
