Application for Admission to a Research Degree Programme
Only candidates who have been deemed eligible to apply for registration (see Academic Entry Requirements) should prepare and submit an application.

In addition to the completed application forms each candidate will need to provide:
- Information on qualifications, college attended, awarding body, date of award
- Transcripts & award parchments
- Statements of qualification equivalence, if applicable
- Evidence of proficiency in English, if applicable
- For applicants holding overseas academic degree qualifications, i.e. qualifications from outside the State, the assessment of the candidate’s qualifications relies on the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) guidelines to which the Institute subscribes.

All applicants who have not been educated through the medium of English or Irish to Leaving Certificate or equivalent must present a qualification in the English language with their application. Click here (English Language Assessment Procedure) for more information.
