The Institute of Technology Tallaght have demonstrated their support for Innovation and enterprise education by sponsoring the Student Enterprise Awards in South Dublin. The importance of this support was acknowledged by the
South Dublin County Enterprise Board at the 2009 South Dublin Business Teachers Network Dinner on Thursday 22nd October 2009.
The dinner was hosted by ITT in Scholars Restaurant, the Institutes’ Hospitality Student Training Restaurant, and was attended by Business teachers from all over the county. Thanks to the extra support from ITT, many enhancements have been added to the programme of activities in South Dublin County schools, including a mobile Innovation Workshop, which has been greeted with enthusiasm by teachers and students alike. The Student Enterprise Awards is an annual programme that gives second level students the chance to set up and run their own business. It is organised and supported by the County and City Enterprise Boards in schools all over Ireland. For more information and fantastic business education resources visit www.studententerprise.ie
