Mature Students

This information applies to full-time mature students. Part-time mature students should refer to the “Part-time Courses” section of the website.

A student who is 23 years of age or older, on the 1st of January of the year of entry to third level, is known as a “mature student”.

All full-time courses in ITT are open to mature applicants.  Applicants who hold the minimum entry requirements (Leaving Cert. or equivalent) can secure a place the same as other applicants, using the points gained. Mature applicants who do not have the minimum entry requirements are considered on their merits. Applicants may be shortlisted for interview. 10% of places on each course are reserved for these mature applicants.

See the links on the right for more information.
