What is the SSC?
The Students Services Committee is a committee comprised of staff and student representatives. Its role is to promote, co-ordinate, develop and oversee students activities in the Institute. It does this through the development of clubs and societies, events, and cultural activities and it works closely with the Students’ Union. During session the SSC meets
regularly, organises events and activities and approves payments for various activities e.g. grants to clubs and societies, medical expenses, salaries for Students’ Union President and Deputy Presidents, affiliation fees, student union expenses, salary of Students’ Union secretary, sports expenses, guest speakers etc.
The SSC also provides financial support to students who represent the Institute/country for their sport.
