ITT Dublin-ChooseIT Schools' Web Design and Development/Game Design Using Scratch 2008-09

The Department of Computing in ITT Dublin would like to invite your school  to take part in the ITT Dublin-ChooseIT Schools' Website/Game Design Competition 2008-09 sponsored by Irish Computer Society under the banner of ICS SKILLS.

The competition was launched two years ago and due to the enthusiastic response by schools in the south Dublin area, we have decided to extend it this year.  Click here to view Photographs of previous prize-winners :  WebsiteGame Design Competition 2005-06..

A total of  2,500 can be won by schools and disbursed at their discretion.  The competition is open to second-level students in Transition, 5th or 6th year. 

This year the prize fund of €2,500 will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Web Design
  • Web Development
  • Game Design and Development

N.B. Please note Design Workshops for Website and Game design will be held in IT Tallaght on Friday 7th th October from 2pm - 4pm.  All participants in the competition are encouraged to attend these workshops.

ECDL WEBSTARTER Training Programme with Certification

In the next couple of weeks we will be sending you out details of ICS SKILLS ECDL WEBSTARTER training programme which provides students with the necessary skills to design and create a simple website. This training course is particularly suited to second-level students and offers them certification in web development skills.
