Eamonn holds an MSc. and BSc. (First Class Honours) in Computing from ITT Dublin and DCU and also has a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from IT Carlow.    Eamon's industrial experience stems from the Electronic Engineeering and Computer Manufacturing industry, working in a Test Engineering and Manufacturing Environment with Minicomputers, Mainframes and Very Large Scale Database Computers for companies such as Vitalograph, Gould Electronics, Teradata and P&O Ports. 

He held various technical and consultancy positions working in areas such as Electronic Circuit Board Diagnosis and Repair, Systems Test and Integration, Engineering Technology Transfer of VLDB test processes, Comptuer Programming and Network Administration.  Eamonn joined ITT Dublin in 1992 as a network administrator and proceeded to lecture part-time and work as a researcher on a number of European IT projects.  His lecturing career dates back to 1994 in the School of Business in ITT Dublin and he has worked as a Full Time Computing Lecturer in the Department of Computing since 1998.  His academic interests are in Networking Technologies, Software Development, E-Learning and Buisness Information Management.

Research Interests:
Has previously conducted research on various European initiatives working in the areas of Multimedia and Telematic research for the SME sector and for syllabi development for international courses.
