Steps to get your exam results
1. Log on to the network.
2. Log on to your email4life or MYMail (Outlook Live) and get your pin.
3. Launch internet explorer and go to https://ssb.ancheim.ie/ittallaght/
4. Click on Enter Secure Area
5. Enter your student number as the user id (make sure it starts with a big X). Enter the pin from the email received as the pin and click on the Login button.
6. If it is the first time you log in set your security question.
7. Click on Exam Results, click on Final grades, Select the term Full Academic Term 2009/10 and click on Submit and your grades will appear.

Non-payment of fees may result in a HOLD being placed on your examination results.
1 - I registered for my college email account & cannot remember my password, what do I do?
• Contact computing services by email – computingservices@ittdublin.ie, visit the Helpdesk on the second floor of the institute, or call them on 404 2010. Please bring your student card with you if you are going to the Helpdesk.
• Please provide clear contact details including student number and name along with your contact number.
2 - I registered with email4life or MyMail (Outlook Live) & cannot remember my user name, what do I do?
• You can use your student number as your user name to access your email4life or MyMail(Outlook Live). E.g. email4life X12345678@itnet.ie or MyMail (Outlook Live) X123456@mymail.ittdublin.ie
3 - How do I get my pin?
• Pins are sent to all registered students with an active college email account the week before exam results are released. If you do not have a college email account, to get your pin:
1. If you are new to the college since September 2009, register your MyMail (Outlook Live) account at http://register.mymail.ittdublin.ie/. Otherwise, register your email4life account at http://mail.itnet.ie/.
2. Check your email account is not full.
3. Request your pin using the pin request utility at http://pin.it-tallaght.ie/
Your pin will be sent to your college email account with the instructions for accessing your results.
Non-payment of fees may result in a HOLD being placed on your account. It will also stop a pin being sent to your college email account.
4 - I have my college email account but did not get a pin, what do I do?
• Request your pin using the pin request utility at http://pin.it-tallaght.ie/

5 - I tried to request a pin but I get an error saying “Your PIN number is disabled” what do I do?

• Alternatively you contact the results help line on 404 2007.
6 - I have my banner number and pin. When I try to log in for results, I get an error message saying “Authorization Failure - Invalid User ID or PIN”, what do I do?
• Try again entering your Banner number carefully (beginning with a capital X) and entering your pin.
• If this does not work, please fill out and submit the form located at:
http:\\www.it-tallaght.ie\exam_results\query\contactform.html
• Alternatively you contact the results help line on 404 2007.
The log on information will be checked and you will be contacted with a resolution.
7 – I have my banner number and pin. When I try to log in I get an error message saying “Your Web access has been disabled”, what do I do?
• Please fill out and submit the form located at:

• Alternatively you contact the results help line on 404 2007.
8 - I have an active college email account. I requested my pin using the pin request utility. The pin has not arrived, what do I do?
• Fill out and submit the form located at:

• A pin will be resent to your email4life.
• Alternatively you contact the results help line on 404 2007.
9 - I have never logged into the network, what do I do?
• Check that the computer is switched on and move the mouse slowly to activate it. Hold the Control+Alt+Delete keys and the Windows log-on screen will be displayed
• Your user name is your student number e.g. X00001234.
• Your password is your date of birth in the form DDMmmYY e.g.DD – 09, Mmm – Jan, YY - 89
• Engineering students , the log on field should be ENG.
• Business students, the log on field should be STU.
• Applied Science & Computing students, the log on field should be COMPUTING.
10 - I have a problem logging on to the network, who do I contact?
• Please bring your student card with you when you visit the technicians.
• If emailing please provide a description of the problem experienced, full name, student number and a contact phone number.
• Engineering students, please contact the engineering technicians on 404 2516 or visit them in Room 221 and 215 in the institute.
• Science or Computing please email DeptComputing.Support@it-tallaght.ie or ScienceITSupport@it-tallaght.ie
• Business students can visit the Helpdesk on the 2nd floor, contact computingservices@ittdublin.ie or call 01 404 2010. Please provide clear contact details, as well as your name and student number.
11 - What labs are available and what are the opening times?
• Business students, you can access your results in the open access upstairs in the library – Room 114. Other labs available are 201 & 203 (beside the computer services helpdesk on the top floor).
• Science students you can access your results in lab 116.
• Computing students you can access your results in labs 229, 231 and 233.
• Engineering students you can access your results in lab 209.
12 - I don’t have access to email at my place of work, how do can I access my results?
• You can access your results in the open access upstairs in the library – Room 114.
13 - Can I access results using a handheld device?
• If your handheld device can read standard size web pages you will be able to view the exam results pages.
• If not, you will not be able to use the device to access results on line.
• The web pages for accessing results on line are not scalable.
14 - What do I, NP, X, EX, DE or WH mean?
