Who is eligible for this Fund?
Who is this Fund for?
To be eligible for this Fund you must be a full-time registered student whose household income is €30,000 or less.
Students who live in a designated Disadvantaged Area, and/or who attended a designated Disadvantaged School before coming to IT Tallaght, are particularly encouraged to apply.
A small portion of the Fund is available for students who do not fall into the above group, but who become homeless, or experience serious illness, during the academic year.
This Fund is NOT available for:
Part-time students; Funded post-graduate research students; incoming Erasmus students.
This household income criteria is less than last year's amount - why have we made this change?
As a result of the economic downturn we have had a huge increase in the number of applications and an increase in the severity of applicants' circumstances. Because we have a limited fund, we have found it necessary to reduce the number of applicants who are eligible for the fund, in order to provide adequate assistance to those who do qualify for assistance.
